County Cancer Coalition (HCCC)
is to educate the public
about cancer prevention
through education,
information, action, and
advocacy.
The HCCC was formed in 1993
and is a community-based
group dedicated to fighting
cancer and improving the
health of Hampshire County
residents. HCCC is a
growing coalition of:

leading cause of death in
the US.

On an average day in West
Virginia 29 people are
diagnosed with invasive
cancer. This includes 5
who are diagnosed with
lung cancer, 4 with
colorectal cancer, 4 with
prostate cancer, and 4
with breast cancer.

Hampshire County has
cancer incidence rates
that are statistically
significantly higher than
the West Virginia rate.
